HYPERTEGRITY spearheads the digital transformation of German cities as a key supplier to the Open Data Platform Paderborn. Built entirely from open source components, its digital ecosystem is custom-tailored as well as enabling Paderborn to offer it to other municipalities. This approach to Smart Cities made in Germany provides a solid foundation for integrated, sustainable urban development – effectively avoiding the all-too-common traps of vendor lock-ins.
Our virtual infrastructure deploys a variety of current open source technologies, like Docker, Mongo, CrateDB, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Vault, Node-RED and Kubernetes for orchestration. The FIWARE catalogue contributes a number of domain-specific components for the Smart City, e.g. the Orion Context Broker, Keyrock Identity Management and QuantumLeap. FIWARE technology was selected by the European Commission as building block in the context of the Connecting Europe Facility program. As such, it is officially recommended as a basis for digital services of public administrations, facilitating easy replication and transnational interoperability.
With Smart City infrastructure a rather recent tech stack, our team is supremely qualified for the handling of critical distributed systems: our people are trusted with the development and operative support of road tolling systems since 1999.
